Big fan of Mass Effect, the game, the books, the lore, the people (BioWare), the works!
Recently the game was announced for release in January 2010, the previous date was March 2010, that's typically a bad thing, when game release dates change in that direction, but I really hope that the game lives up to the expectations we all have.
What I don't get is that somehow EA has managed to get involved yet again, with their mismanagement. I do care for that business stuff, it's not entirely boring, but they way they go about this? I seriously doubt that they understand gamers. We don't buy games because of marketing departments or great ads, we buy games because we enjoy good games.
So when EA announced the pre-order deals, the only reason these people over at Shacknews don't go, wtf, fuck this game, and fuck EA. Is because of the big respect we have for Mass Effect and BioWare.
this pre-order bullshit needs to stop already. -pyide
- Amen. -DerHuhnTeufel
- What do I get if I pre-order with Steam!? -fadetofunk
- Fucking signed. -thetangent
- good call -phinn
- signed. -yacoub35
- Yes. I mean, I'm buying into it so I guess I'm part of the problem, but it's really disingenuous. -Arceihn
- My question with all the ridiculous balance-destroying items: do you get them immediately from the start? Because that would completely ruin everything and it wouldn't be worth pre-ordering. What if we want to pre-order it but don't want all the extra annoying shit? -Shadsy
- Yes, yes it does. Especially at GameStop. I wouldn't pre-order something from those retards even if they gave me the game for free. -docholoday
- fucking signed. -AMikaboshi
Bundle pre-orders with art, soundtracks, even books and other cool merchandise. But never alter the game experience depending on whether you pre-order or not, and don't you dare tap into the difficulty like that, it will only piss off good gamers. And those are your most valuable and loyal customers.
